Martin RESZETNIK 1930 – 2015Martin passed away peacefully on May 26, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Tess (Wesolowski) for 53 years. Loving father of Marty (Vicky), Ann Marie, Edward (Ann), Michele (Steve) and adoring grandfather of Alexandra, Katharine, Rebecca, Nicholas, Grace, Ryan, Ainsley and Brandon. Martin was born in Kitchener, Ontario to John and Angela Reszetnik. He was predeceased by his three brothers, Casey, (Glenn) Julian, and Sigmund. On graduating from McGill University (1953), Martin joined the Engineering firm of M.S. Yolles & Associates where he worked for 20 years. He then went on to form Martin Reszetnik Engineering Ltd. Martin excelled in sports, especially baseball (played for the city of Kitchener) and coached his sons' baseball teams. He was a lifetime member of the Boulevard Club where he loved playing his badminton and enjoyed the camaraderie of his friends. He loved music, especially opera and spending time at his cottage on Georgian Bay. Visitation will take place before Mass on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Our Lady of Peace Church, 3914 Bloor St. W. in Etobicoke from 10 to 11 a.m. The Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Dr. Simone's Canadian Food for Children (canadianfoodforchildren.net)or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
